Water Aerobics Classes

 Muletown Rec has over a half dozen regularly scheduled Water Fitness Classes throughout the week at a variety of intensity levels to suit all of our members.

Class Descriptions

Deep Water Aerobics

Deep Water Aerobics is taught in the deep end of the pool wearing a float belt for higher intensity, low impact workout. Designed to improve cardio-respiratory endurance, you will be doing a variety of exercises like aqua jogging, cross country skiing, and jumping jacks all while weightless in the water with no pressure on your joints. The weightless class format helps alleviate chronic pain, especially in the back and hips. Flexibility and overall strength are the focus of this medium-intensity workout.

*A flexibility and cardio class, designed for those who have limited mobility. Modified to appropriately challenge each individual at a moderate intensity level and is taught in deep water.

Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics is a full-body workout with cardio components, strength training, abdominal exercises, and complete stretching. 

*A strength, stretch, and cardio class, designed for those who have limited mobility. Modified to appropriately challenge each individual at a moderate intensity level.

Power Circuit

Power Circuit is a hydro-circuit class utilizing many different types of equipment to challenge the entire body.  Our experienced instructor, who has over 15 years of experience, tips, and exercises to share, makes this class unique.  This water workout will help strengthen and tone muscles while improving flexibility and cardio endurance.
