Changes to Membership Agreement

Dear Members,

We are always working to improve your experience here at Muletown Rec through services, classes, amenities, etc. We have taken a look at our membership agreement and have decided to make some changes to allow for certain options for members as well as improve the process for collection of membership dues. Please note the following changes to the membership agreement effective April 10, 2017.

Muletown Rec has made the following amendment to its "Membership Terms & Cancellation Rights and Billing Policies" as part of the membership contract. This change is in regards to cancellation options.

Re: Changes to Cancellation Policy

Please be sure to include the following information:

  • Full Name and door code number
  • Daytime phone number
  • Reason for cancellation
  • Any necessary supporting documentation

Cancellation due to relocation (60 miles away from the facility of further)

  • You must submit thirty days written notice
  • Your account must be current
  • Supporting documentation must accompany your cancellation request.
  • Acceptable forms of documentation include copies of the following: a new lease agreement, a new utility bill, recently issued driver's license with new address, letter from new employer if this is a job related move, military deployment orders
  • A $25 Early Termination Fee will be billed to your account at the time your request is processed
  • Your billing will continue until all of the necessary documentation has been received
  • Cash/ Paid in Full memberships are non-refundable. You may transfer the unused portion of your membership to another individual.

Cancellation due to physical disability or illness

  • You must submit thirty days written notice
  • Your account must be current
  • Supporting documentation must accompany your cancellation request.
  • You must submit a letter from your physician stating that you suffer from a physical condition which prohibits use of the facility
  • A $25 Early Termination Fee will be billed to your account at the time your request is processed
  • Your billing will continue until all of the necessary documentation has been received
  • Cash/ Paid in Full memberships are non-refundable. You may transfer the unused portion of your membership to another individual

Re: Changes to Membership Terms & Cancellation Rights and Billing Policies

Muletown Rec has made the following amendment to its "Membership Terms & Cancellation Rights and Billing Policies" as part of the membership contract. This change is in regards to default of payment.

If you have a minimum monthly term, your account will be billed for a minimum number of months and will continue on a month-to-month basis at the monthly rate above until you cancel in accordance with the terms of this agreement. Default in the payment of any monthly membership fee when due shall, at the option of the Muletown Rec LLC, render the total price of the agreement, i.e., the minimum monthly term, immediately due and payable. If member shall at any time be in default of the terms of this agreement, and if Muletown Rec LLC deems it necessary to engage a collection agency and/or an attorney to collect any balance owed under the terms of this agreement, member agrees to be responsible for the reasonable expenses of collection, including, including but not limited to, collection agency fees, court costs, and reasonable attorney's fees.

If any member is currently in default of payment terms, member has 30 days from this notice to bring the account to good standing. Failure to correct the account default will result in the account being forwarded to third party collections agency.
